Future Cycling Infrastructure
There is generally several years lead time between a developments inception and seeing concrete evidence of it on the ground. CCNB has been involved in many development briefs and consultations and continuously monitors all planning applications and policy decisions to ensure that provision for cyclists is provided or, in the case of small developments, to ensure that a contribution is made for improvements in the immediate area.

This development has been postponed although the Borough are in the process of arranging for the link road from Bromham Road to Clapham Road to be built ahead of the future development to complete the long awaited Western Bypass of Bedford. Britannia Site
Two phases of the development are virtually complete but with no significant cycle infrastructure as of July 2011 although some will be provided in later phases. The southern section (the old 'Focus' site) is now expected to be developed by 2013/14 together with an improved cycle access route to the station. The station itself which will include an increased number of new covered and secure cycle stands is now expected to be built around 2018.
